Who we are

Kenneth W. Gray M.D. was Born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana, attended undergraduate at Indiana University, Graduate School at Indiana University Department of Microbiology, Indiana University School of Medicine, Lutheran Hospital of Indiana (Fort Wayne, Indiana) Approved Orthopedic Residency. Dr Gray has been with the practice since Feb 1984.

Kerry B. Donnelly M.D. was Born and raised in Chilhowie Virginia, attended undergraduate at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine,    Medical College of Virginia Hospitals/ Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine Approved Orthopedic Residency. Dr Donnelly is certified and has been recertified. 

Graduated 06/1989 American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and joined the practice in July 1989.

ACADEMIC APPOINTMENTS

Dr Gray is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Specialties for the Edward Via School of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg VA 4th Year /Students from VCOM have Orthopedic Rotations at ROC.  Dr Gray is a Clinical Preceptor

For Interns and residents at the Montgomery Regional Hospital Graduate Medical Education Program.  Dr Gray and Dr Donnelly instruct and lecture for the community and local universities, including New River Community College, and Radford University students from local universities and medical schools have internships at Radford Orthopedics including Governor’s School, Nursing, Athletic Training, Biomedical Engineering, Premedical Students and others from Virginia Tech, Radford University, New River Community College, Wytheville Nursing Program, Edward Via School of Osteopathic Medicine, West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and others.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Dr Gray and Dr Donnelly are active in local Community, Local, State and National Medical and Orthopedic Organizations. Including Radford Chamber of Commerce, Southwest Virginia Medical Society, Southwest Virginia Medical Society Board, Medical Society of Virginia, Medical Society of Virginia Board, VAMPAC, American Medical Association, Virginia Orthopedic Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, International Society for Clinical Densitometry.

HOSPITAL PRIVILEGES

We have hospital privileges at Montgomery Regional Hospital, Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (Radford Hospital), New River Valley Surgical Center, Pulaski Community Hospital, and St. Albans Hospital. Most of our surgical practice is at Montgomery Regional Hospital Southwest Center for Orthopedics, Carillon New River Medical Center (Radford Hospital), and The New River Valley Surgical Center (Ambulatory Surgery Center behind Radford Hospital). Some patients and/or insurance plans prefer or require that procedures are carried out at specific institutions. We can usually accommodate this through our office. In addition,. minor surgical procedures are performed regularly at the Radford Orthopedic Center in-house facilities.

Dr Gray and Dr Donnelly have been helping patients from Southwestern Virginia, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and elsewhere for many years, and deeply appreciate the friends that we have made, their loyalty, and their continued support. We welcome others to our orthopedic family, and will continue to try to make the care we provide the safest, most efficient, most effective, and most enjoyable experience one can have with a broken part. Our office staff at the Radford Orthopedic Center is very friendly and experienced, and will be happy to help with any questions or problems.
